Beck Design Group is working with a homeowner who’s home has been suffering from major sinking and cracking. The home was built by their previous builder and was built on poor soil. As we did our investigation to determine the cause of the home’s sinking, we discovered that there was three feet of buried trees under the home! Shocking, but it does happen.
Our plan was to provide structural remediation and repair to the home. We completely excavated the material from underneath the home to remove the unstable and poorly-repaired soil. As you can see from the pictures on this page, we are giving this home a reliable and proper foundation that will support this home for a long time.
The other side benefit from our structural remediation and repair is that this homeowner will gain a large, finished basement to expand his home’s square footage and value for the money they are investing in the structural remediation.
